How effective are entrainment training
All of us could use a little bit of help from time to time psychologically. Perhaps it is just a simple matter of us wanting to rest better or to have a greater degree of concentration. It may actually be more than that, such as treating conditions such as ADHD. Regardless of why you need the help, entrainment training has been shown to be effective on a number of different levels. Here are several different ways that entrainment training is used in order to benefit us.
Increasing Your IQ – Although most people think that the IQ is something that is pre-determined at birth, it is a well-known fact that environmental and personal conditions can affect your IQ score almost on a daily basis. This was shown in a study by Drs. Susan and Siegfried Othmer who are well-known in the field of brainwave research. In their study, individuals who are suffering from ADHD and had IQs that were under 100 were able to raise their IQ level by almost 33 points on the average. These are amazing numbers, considering the fact that there is little else that can help these individuals.
Helping You Academically – in a study of underachieving college students, entrainment therapy was used in order to help them with concentration and to improve their academic skills. All of the individuals that took place in this study were able to achieve their academic goals and to raise their grades effectively. It is interesting to note that these same individuals continued to improve, long after the entrainment therapy was stopped.
Strengthening the Autoimmune System – There is some thought that entrainment therapy may be able to strengthen our immunity to a certain degree. It is certainly true that we do not fully understand everything that brain waves are able to do within the body. It would not be unreasonable to think that strengthening the autoimmune system is one of them.
Increasing Relaxation and Reducing Stress – Relaxation is often one of the things that those who undergo entrainment training are trying to accomplish. It has been shown to be very effective in doing this and they can also reduce your stress levels to a great extent. The releasing of endorphins as a result of the stimuli can certainly benefit us in a number of different ways, and the reduction of stress being one of them.
Improved Concentration – This is something that was also shown in the experiment with the underachieving college students. One of the things that they recognized was that their concentration was improved which helped to give them the ability to improve academically.
Promote Right Brain Thinking – Some think that entrainment training is able to target one specific hemisphere of the brain. This can go a long way in helping us to be able to bring the right brain more into line with the left as far as our thought pattern is concerned.
